Side Scan Sonar Surveys

Mainstream routinely performs side scan surveys. These surveys locate objects such as sunken barges, motor vessels, propellers, and other equipment that are exposed on or above the river bottom.

When utilizing side scan sonar to search for objects or obstructions, the side scan data is collected with sufficient coverage to allow for redundant target detection.
