An Acoustic Doppler Current Profile (ADCP) is a sonar study that produces a record of water current velocities for a range of depths. The (ADCP) data is typically collected on several transects at each site. The data is collected using a boat equipped with an RDI Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler. Final report products include graphics with color schemes indicating velocity range, stick plots (current vectors) for each line as well as an electronic file with the raw data.
