UNDERWATER PIPELINE EVALUATION PROJECTS
MCDI can provide a dive crew to identify areas of exposure and perform a visual/tactile inspection of any located exposed portions of the pipe and its coating.
MCDI can provide a pipeline inspection report that will consist of a drawing showing the profile view of the water depths encountered across the river crossing; references to any exposed sections of pipe; as well as a brief narrative describing methods and any significant findings. Any underwater video footage obtained during the inspection can also be provided to the client in DVD or Windows Media Player format.

CASE STUDY: Installation of a 20” Sewage Outfall Pipe
MCDI worked with the general contractor on this sewer line project. MCDI provided a commercial dive crew to assist with the removal of an intruding rock and the underwater installation of cement bags and sand bags to add support for a 20” sewage outfall pipe. |

CASE STUDY: Outlet Structure Inspection and Repairs
MCDI divers performed an inspection and made repairs to a leaking dam outlet structure on a private lake near Nashville, Tennessee.

18" Pipe
MCDI provided a commercial dive crew to the general contractor to assist with the installation of approximately 100 ft. of 18” ductile iron pipe at Mineral Mounds State Park in Eddyville, Kentucky. |

CASE STUDY: Pipeline Sliplining Project at an Industrial Facility
This project required:
- 632 ft. of diver pipeline penetration (less than 60” diameter) in the wet in advance of a sliplining project
- on-site heat fusing of HDPE pipe
- and the installation of pipe restraining joints
