Montgomery Point Lock & Dam Construction

MCDI performed all of the diving work beginning in 1997 and extending through 2004 for the construction of the new Montgomery Point Lock and Dam.

MCDI’s work on this project involved many tasks including performing an underwater inspection of the sheet piles of the cofferdam, cutting pilings to grade underwater, tremie pouring of concrete, inspection work at different periods throughout the project, demolition of concrete, survey work, salvage work, and emergency call-outs.

This was a USACE Little Rock District project. This deep water diving project required the use of MCDI’s company-owned decompression chambers.
