Natural Gas Pipeline Repair
Mainstream was chosen to perform major repairs to a natural gas pipeline after it was struck by a large dredging vessel in the Delaware River.
MER Diving worked extensively with the facility to develop the safest plan to perform the required repairs. The repairs consisted of divers retrieving sections of the damaged pipe, re-installing the repair pipe and fittings, and then performing a final leak test.
MER Diving crews worked in shifts 24 hours per day for several weeks. Divers were faced with strong river currents and almost zero water visibility.
