Column Repair at Nashville Riverfront Park

Mainstream was contracted by a river terminal company to provide underwater inspection, construction, and engineering services for the repairs to the Riverfront Park Wharf damaged Pier 24A in Nashville.

MER Diving performed a visual Level 1 inspection with limited Level II based on the ASCE Underwater Investigations Standard Practice Manual No. 101 and industry standards in order to determine the extent of the damage and what repairs would need to be performed.

MER Diving performed all repairs as depicted on the drawings provided by the engineering company. The damaged pier was completely removed and the existing bars (that were still intact) were straightened back to near the original position.

From there, MER Diving constructed a 24" x 42" x 11" tall form utilizing EFCO forms to construct the pier from the foundation mat up to the underside of the deck.
