Hydroelectric Dam Underwater Inspection
Mainstream was awarded the contract to provide underwater inspection and repair services to the hydro units 1, 3, and 5 water intake screens and structures at a hydroelectric dam facility in Virginia.
Due to water depths of as much as 200 feet, portions of the work was performed utilizing mixed gas diving operations (heliox) and an open bell system.
