Bridge Foundation Scour Repair
During an inspection performed by Mainstream Commercial Divers, Inc. and an engineering firm at a bridge location on the Caney Fork River in Carthage, TN, scour was discovered underneath the bridge foundation. Mainstream was then contracted by a construction company to provide a dive crew to assist with the pumping and forming of concrete into the scour underneath the foundation.
Mainstream was responsible for installing vinyl sheet pile formwork and sealing around the perimeter of the forms. Prior to any forming and pumping, the remaining sediment under the foundation was removed by our company-owned jetting equipment.
